House System



House system is an important part of co-curricular activities which are organised in a healthy competitive spirit.

Each student is allotted a house at the time of admission. House system inculcates qualities of leadership, sincerity, loyalty, co-operation, self -discipline and belongingness to the institution.

The school is divided into four junior and four senior houses.

Eleven office bearers of each house are elected from boys and girls for smooth running of the various co-curricular activities, daily assignments and for House Socials. The office bearers are :

In order to involve students in organising school activities, each house in turn for a week is put on duty. The working of ‘House on Duty’ is evaluated by a panel of judges and houses are given points on their weekly performance. These points are added to points secured by the houses in different activities to adjudge the overall position of the house. Negative marks are given for commissions and omissions. The house on duty has to carry out the following duties –

  • Conducting the morning assembly.
  • Giving the morning talk in the assembly.
  • Giving ‘Thought for the Day’ and the news in the assembly.
  • Writing the Day’s News on the news board and writing “Thought for the Day” on the board.
  • Duty at the school gate before morning assembly, Checking the late comers and students not wearing school-uniform.
  • Contributing towards 'Wall Magazine’ and display boards.
  • Arranging bicycles at the stand. Looking after the cleanliness of the school.
  • Looking after the drinking water and school toilets.
  • Checking the corridor traffic and class discipline. To conduct mass P.T. during the week.
